We never meet the people we admire from afar. We read their stories. We watch their videos. We inspect their work. We make up the in-between parts. We improvise.

It’s an interesting sort of community, the Internet, where we can feel that we know someone through his or her work, without ever meeting, and without sometimes ever even writing. We should write to those we admire more, to maybe know a bit more of them. I certainly intend to, at least.
